Job description

Academic Evaluators are responsible to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of academic records per federal guidelines via FERPA, Department of Education, and SACS accreditation. Academic Evaluators advise and assist students in the successful completion of their degree requirements. They uphold an accurate picture of degree progress and make the final recommendation for degree conferral. Annually, Academic Evaluators provide official evaluations and confer degrees for thousands of students across all campuses and levels of the University. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In accordance with federal guidelines, confer degrees within 30 days of final requirements being met. Uphold all published academic policies in the course catalog. Maintain a vast knowledge of past and present academic policies and degree requirements. Maintain clear and accurate communication with student emails and phone calls within 24-48 hours of receipt. Use problem-solving skills to assist with complex questions from students, parents, and other departments.
