Description The Athletic Trainer will serve as a member of our Athletic Training staff in the full operation of the sports medicine program. The role involves applying therapeutic techniques, modalities, and exercises to support the rehabilitation and prevention of athletic injuries, along with evaluating injuries, managing care, and making referrals when necessary. This includes working closely with the Team Physician and other professionals to determine injury severity and appropriate return-to-play timelines, as well as administering first aid and emergency treatment when needed. Responsibilities also include supervising practices and games for varsity athletic teams and serving as the designated Athletics Healthcare Administrator (AHCA), ensuring compliance with all relevant NCAA health and safety regulations and inter-association guidelines. In addition, the position supports the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries while collaborating with a co-Athletic Trainer and Team Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare for all varsity teams.
