POSITION SUMMARY: Finishes production pieces by applying powder coat; Setup, maintenance and preparation of application equipment used in the powder coating process; Assist in metal preparation; Ensures efficiency and quality of painted parts; Maintains a safe working environment; Contributes to team effort. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Finishes production pieces by applying coatings such as powder coat to protect or decorate work piece surfaces; setup and operation of spray guns and/or ovens; examine finished surfaces of work pieces to verify conformance to necessary specifications; retouching any defective areas; prep powder application and ensure environment is clean in order to prevent cross contamination of powder colors; completing daily production documentation. - Assist in preparation of production pieces by cleaning surfaces of work pieces in order to prepare them for coating, using cleaning fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, and grinders, completing daily production documentation.
