Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Between 7 AM and 5 PM - Possible hybrid after training and clearing probation Job Description Summary: Provides technical expertise in the outpatient pharmacy.Supports the pharmacy by providing assistance to the outpatient staff pharmacists with the processing of prescription orders along with preparation and dispensing of patient medications within the three outpatient pharmacies. Assists in training of new staff. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Accepts prescription, establishes billing/patient charges, documents patient’s allergies correctly, interprets and enters information regarding the outpatient prescription into the computer system. - Prepares and packages injectables and oral medication for outpatient use. - Independently resolves on-line adjudication problems with Third Party Payors, without pharmacist intervention. - Extemporaneously compounds medication which is not commercially available (i.e. suspensions, ointments, liquids, capsules, powders, etc.) under the supervision of a pharmacist. - Replenishes pharmacy stock area and notifies pharmacist or inventory coordinators of any problems or concerns. - Assists in orientation and tr...
