Day Camp Junior Counselor

Job description

Position Summary: The Day Camp Junior Counselor will monitor, lead, and control a group of children. This position will work with children, fellow workers, and staff to provide a safe and meaningful summer day camp experience in a Christian environment. Qualifications: Education/Experience: - Assist all field trips (unless medically unable, will be required to participate with the campers). - Provide support to counselors responsible for a small group of youth ages 5-14 on site and on field trips. - Be aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures. This includes never being solely responsible for your group. - Work with program staff to plan and execute daily activities as needed. - Responsible for the welfare of campers. - Work with the appropriate staff in solving problems between campers. - Inform Day Camp Director of any staff or camper problems. - Work with the day camp director and program staff in scheduling activities for the campers. - Encourage camper participation in activities, including musical practices, Bible class, rec class, arts & crafts, and any other activities in a constructive manner. - Administration of emergency first aid as needed and recording...
