Description POSITION SUMMARY: Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on YMCA buildings, mechanical equipment and other property. QUALIFICATIONS: - Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. - Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks; installs window blinds. - Installs flooring of all types - Install and repair plumbing fixtures including but not limited to toilets, sinks, and urinals. - Installs electrical wiring and equipment; replace and repair lighting fixtures and ballast. - Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. - Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; interior and exterior painting - Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department. - Other duties as assigned - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Minimum of 2-3 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. - Good skill in the use of hand and power tools. - Working knowledge of mech...
