Surface Water Management - Streets - Parks The City of Des Moines is recruiting for multiple Maintenance Worker I-II positions across the Surface Water Management, Streets, and Parks Divisions . These positions offer the opportunity to build a long-term career in public works while directly contributing to the safety, sustainability, and appearance of our community. Depending on qualifications, candidates may be hired at the Maintenance Worker I (entry level) or Maintenance Worker II (journey level) classification. Maintenance Worker I employees are typically eligible for advancement to Maintenance Worker II after meeting experience and performance requirements. These positions offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits and a 9/80 schedule allowing for every other Friday off. Salary Ranges: Maintenance Worker I: $5,141.76 to $6,250.46 per month DOE Maintenance Worker II:$6,014.78 to $7,312.00 per month DOE Closing Date: Open Until Filled.
