Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Coraopolis, PA 15108Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary An Intermodal Specialist coordinates freight transportation using multiple modes (rail, truck, ocean), focusing on optimizing supply chain efficiency, drayage management, and cost control. Key responsibilities include tracking shipments, negotiating with carriers, ensuring compliance, and managing customer service to reduce detention/demurrage fees. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Coordination: Manage the end-to-end movement of intermodal containers, coordinating between rail ramps and truck drivers for pick-ups/deliveries. Carrier Management: Build relationships with drayage partners, negotiating rates and securing capacity. Data Entry & Tracking: Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to enter loads, update ETAs, and track shipment milestones. Problem Resolution: Actively track shipments to prevent or mitigate detention, per diem, and demurrage charges.
