Job Summary The Associate Dean works under the general direction of the Dean of the Connie L. Lurie College of Education. The Associate Dean provides leadership for the internal operations of the College and oversight for academic programs, RSCA, faculty success, and student success as outlined below. The Associate Dean serves in the Dean’s capacity when Dean is absent. The Associate Dean helps to advance the strategic priorities of the College and the mission and vision of the University. Key Responsibilities: - Provides support and guidance to tenure-line and lecturer faculty through individual mentoring, coordination of faculty learning communities, and targeted workshops. - Supports the on-boarding of new faculty, including both tenure-line faculty and lecturer faculty. - Supports faculty in the college with the retention, promotion, and tenure process (RTP) in the College, including but not limited to RTO, Post-tenure review, and sabbaticals. - Oversees staffing and administration of college committees and college-wide elections. - Cultivates a culture of research within the college and highlights RSCA success internally and in the larger community through faculty forums, awar...
