The Team We are seeking a Sales and Use Tax Analyst to join American Tower’s Sales and Use Tax team. The team is responsible for all US sales and use tax compliance, Canada goods and services tax, and business license, withholding tax, and other tax compliance functions. Day to day you will analyze billings and purchase activities to validate tax treatment, prepare sales/use tax returns, create tax accrual journal entries, and assist with balance sheet reconciliation of sales tax accounts. You will also assist with tax audits and business license applications and renewals. What You Can Offer Us: - Responsible for sales and use tax returns, gross receipt tax returns, Canada goods and services tax returns and withholding tax returns by filed, reconcile taxes accrued vs. taxes paid monthly, and research tax variances and provide resolutions by filing accurate and timely tax returns in all tax jurisdictions in which the company operates. - Apply technical sales and use tax expertise in accordance with state and local laws and respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders on taxability of products and services. - Review validity and retention of customer and Company...
