Job Description PURPOSE: The purpose of a Thermoforming Tooling Apprentice is to inspect and repair molds and dies both in a shop and production environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems related to tooling on thermoforming machines. 2. Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified in the QSI system. 3. Complete work assigned by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader. 4. Communicate activities with Group Leader and other members of department. 5. Maintain neat and orderly appearance of the shop tooling equipment, and storage areas. 6. Obtain parts in emergency cases. 7. Assist in other departments as requested by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader. 8. Seek training to stay current with job requirements. 9. Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
