Job description

Job Summary: As part of our warehouse and delivery teams, you will use hand trucks and forklifts to load and unload delivery vehicles and drive vehicles to delivery locations. Duties/Responsibilities: Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas. Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day. Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery. Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made. Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor. Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed. Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to drive safely. Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
