Newport News, Virginia Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform duties under the direction or supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or a registered nurse. The LPN is responsible for conducting a focused assessment of the patient to include vital signs and gathering data, implementing established plans of care, and evaluating effectiveness of treatments in the medical practice setting. Position requires rotating to all urgent care locations. What you will do: Accurately completes all required clinical documentation consistently per RHS standards. Maintains documentation for quality assurance to include but not limited to point of care testing, medication logs and annual wellness visits. Works with providers to assure care gaps are routinely addressed with each patient. Documentation is accurate, legible and completed same day. Knowledgeable and skillful in lab functions. Monitors OSHA and lab proficiency testing. Maintains clean, compliant, well-stocked work areas. Provides patient education as needed.
