Battery Electromechanical Engineer

Job Summary: The Battery Electromechanical Engineer is responsible for the development and release of key electromechanical subsystems of the Battery Pack. This role is responsible for specifying, characterizing, and working with cross functional teams to integrate these subsystems and components into the High Voltage Battery System. Responsibilities: - Owns the selection, development, and integration of high voltage electrical power distribution components. - Maintains a high level of expertise in power switching components, current limiting devices and sensing electronics, including contactors, relays, fuses, FETs, current sensors, etc. - Maintains a high level of familiarity with mechanical packaging and fabrication techniques, including injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing, etc. - Design and develop high voltage, high current interfaces between electromechanical components (e.g. busbars, cabling, Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC)). Execution of high voltage sensing circuitry and terminations. - Evaluate supplier information, specifications, and validation data to ensure the selection of the best suppliers. - Work closely with the component suppliers t...
