Position Title Electronic Image Technician Days - Full Time: Bell Hospital: Position Summary / Career Interest: The role of the Electronic Image Technician is to assist all customers with image related functions in the Radiology Imaging Center with general supervision at all locations. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Retrieves and/or creates patients’ electronic folders and physical radiology jackets. Accesses reports and other patient or exam data via the Novius, SMS, Epic, PACS and related software systems. Microsoft Access Database to track and monitor radiology projects and patient requests. Utilizes the electronic medical record to access patient consent forms for authorization of release. Safeguards all patient information and is in compliance with HIPPA regulations. - Communicates reports and/or image data to the appropriate physician’s office in a timely manner. Receives release of information request which will be scanned into EMR. Verifies patient has current medical record number and enters release information into template.
