Employment Type: Part time Shift: Evening Shift Description: The Patient Access Department at Trinity Health Medical Center Brighton and Trinity Health Livingston Hospital serve as a supporting department for all our clinical departments. Our Patient Access Representatives serve our patients and are located at the Emergency room entrance, the radiology check in areas, the lab check in area and admitting. We ensure that all registrations are complete by verifying demographic information, verifying insurance coverage, scanning in documents, obtaining authorizations, helping with wayfinding and serving our patients and community. Patient Access rotates between 5 areas that are located both in the Trinity Health Medical Center Brighton and the Trinity Health Livingston Hospital. We support the Emergency department 24/7/365 and our outpatient areas during their hours of operations. Provides patient focused customer service. Performs outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions; collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
