Overview Full time position for an advanced medical assistant, providing outpatient care for our patients and assisting our physicians in all clinical areas of the practice. Responsible for front and back office procedures. Also assists Physicians and Nurses with medical examination of patients. This position is located at our Princess Anne Office in Virginia Beach. Responsibilities: Train and orient new medical assistants. QA Review of patient charts obtaining all pertinent documentation for return and postpartum patients. Updating patient prenatal lab forms for all follow up patients. Schedule outside patient referrals. Maintain/order supplies for the clinic to include weekly checks for expired materials/medications and/or materials close to expiration. Takes vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure. May draw blood and give injections under the immediate supervision of a Physician or RN. Chaperones when appropriate and assists during certain minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures, such as Pap Smears.
