Overview Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Structures team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities: - Perform structural analysis and design for solar panel racking systems, carports, canopies, ground-mounted structures, and related infrastructure. - Evaluate structural components for code compliance, material selection, and safety standards. - Generate construction drawings, specifications, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or related software. - Analyze existing structures for solar retrofit applications, including load testing and structural reinforcements. - Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design components. - Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and adherence to design documents. - Review geotechnical reports and coordinate with civil teams to design efficient foundation systems. - Manage client relationships and communicate design solutions effectively to internal and external stakeholders. - Stay current with building codes, solar industry standards, and emerging technologies...
