MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB: They will analyze first reports, contact insured/claimants promptly, and evaluate contract language to identify coverage issues. The specialist will develop and maintain accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis, establish reserves, and recognize and pursue recovery. They will adhere to statutory and regulatory fair claims practices and identify potential fraudulent claims. The specialist will also manage the use, work product, and expenses of outside vendors, and evaluate claim facts. They will serve as a technical resource to lesser experienced adjusters and contribute to the team's goals and objectives.
