Job description

This role partners with Product Owners, UW/Config, QA, and Implementation teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable capabilities for a high-availability, high-volume automated life insurance underwriting platform. This is a senior individual contributor role with no formal people management responsibility; leadership is exercised through technical influence, architecture and design stewardship, high-quality implementation, and mentoring of engineers while maintaining hands-on delivery ownership. Insurance/re-insurance domain knowledge. - Own technical delivery for medium-to-large initiatives across multiple components/services. - Lead architecture and design decisions for backend/service-oriented solutions, including performance, maintainability, security, and operability trade-offs. - Influence technical direction and engineering practices across teams without formal authority using clear design artifacts, code reviews, and evidence-based recommendations. - Contribute meaningfully to implementation and test automation efforts, including unit, integration, and regression coverage. - Use CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates including peer review, linting/static checks...
