Job description
Overview The Contract Agent I plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate organizing, processing, reviewing, adjusting and approval of contracts through the university’s document approval system. Serving alongside more senior Purchasing Agents, the Contract Agent I is responsible for ensuring the successful review and approval of all document approval tasks, which involve various objectives serving the university’s mission, ranging from the procurement of goods and services to finalizing student internship agreements. The Contract Agent I will play an essential role in maintaining compliance, supporting the lifecycle of vendor and client contracts, and contributing to efficient and effective contract operations. Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: - Independently examines, revises, approves and signs contracts falling within delegation of signature authority. - Serve as the point of contact for questions pertaining to contracts and the university’s document approval system. - Respond to departmental questions and concerns relating to contracts and the document approval process. - Interpret, apply, and advise on university, state, and federal policies governing co...
