This role involves performing essential manual labor, assisting line crews with daily operations, and learning the fundamentals of transmission line work. The Groundman plays a critical role in maintaining safe, organized, and efficient job sites while developing the skills needed to advance within the transmission trade. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform various manual labor tasks in the construction and maintenance of transmission power lines. Assemble materials on the ground and hoist them into work areas using hand lines. Assist crew members with pole holes, trenching, and backfilling using shovels and hand tools. Flag traffic and set up work zones to ensure the safety of both the public and the crew. Maintain organization of tools, materials, and equipment on work vehicles.
