Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is accountable for building and setting forms made of wood, metal, vinyl, and other materials in accordance with customer specifications (plans). The Form Setter drives wooden and metal stakes with a sledgehammer and hammers or screws nails and other fasteners to secure the forms. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts and long hours (8-12 hours). Weekend work and extra hours occur according to production needs and at the discretion of the Supervisor. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion which are centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork, most importantly with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - Builds, erects, and aligns forms for various concrete structures and pier foundations utilizing preformed forming systems. - Performs the setting of anchor bolts for drilled pier foundations. - Estimates concrete quantities and appropriate mixes. - Interprets blueprints and reads survey stakes and calculates areas and volumes. - Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency. - Performs rough leveling and shaping...
