This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Resident Engineer for our Columbia, MD office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team at New Carrollton, MD and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact: Job Responsibilities: Construction Oversight & Contract Administration - Provide full-time, on-site oversight of all construction activities, including excavation, foundation, structural concrete, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and site work. - Act as the client’s authorized on-site representative for administration of the construction contract. - Interpret and enforce contract plans, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements. - Chair construction progress meetings with contractors and client staff; prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Schedule, Cost & Change Management: - Review and monitor the Contractor’s baseline schedule and periodic updates; identify risks and coordinate corrective actions with the client. - Review and verify contractor pay applications, quantities, and supporting documentation prior to client approval. - Review submittals, RFIs, fie...
