College: Louisiana Delta Community College Department: Academic Affairs: Sub department: Math& Sciences: Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Adjunct Salary: $675 per credit hour: Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Teaching - Provide classroom and laboratory instruction in the fields of human anatomy/physiology, microbiology, and general biology for day and/or evening courses. - May teach up to 12 credit hours / semester and up to six credit hours during the summer. - Identify student learning outcomes; develop processes and tools for assessment; incorporate results in order to modify instruction and materials in coordination with colleagues. Required Education: The minimum qualifications for the position is a Master’s degree in biology from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline of biological sciences. The candidate must possess basic computer literacy skills, demonstrate the ability to use varied teaching techniques and instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles, and have experience in computer-assisted instruction.
