Job description

The Brain Health Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct, high-quality nursing care to neurological patients with complex needs across the adult and geriatric spectrum in an outpatient setting at the Brain Health Center. Delivers IV therapies, including biotherapies, immunotherapies, hydration, and associated medications, as well as hazardous drugs. Develops and implements individualized patient care plans using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Ensures enhanced patient outcomes through effective communication, collaboration, mentorship, and delegation, while exercising independent judgment. May lead or mentor lower-level team members. Assesses the unit's needs related to practice and improvement opportunities. EXPERIENCE: - Demonstrates advanced skills in the delivery of physical examinations of patients, performing complex medical testing and providing interpretations of results, consulting with physicians and implementing treatment plan; administers medications and injections as needed. - Ensures the clinic flow runs smoothly and provides supervision of the assigned Medical Assistant; works closely with assigned scheduler to ens...
