Job Title: English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor Job Status: Full-time: Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor uses intermediate skills obtained through experience and training to educate adults in which English is not their primary language of the verbal and written skills needed. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform a variety of non-routine tasks with limited decision-making responsibility. Resolves most questions and problems, refers unusual issues to a higher level. Routine contact with internal and external customers as required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Create and execute daily lesson plans based on textbook curriculum - Provide supplemental learning material based on students’ needs - Administer assessments and evaluations adhering to the CASAS standards - Collect and maintain up to date student contact and academic information - Manage routine administrative functions of the classroom including recording daily attendance, enforcing attendance policy, collecting assignments, an...
