Fire Engineer Station Commander/Professional 1A - £53,460 - £55,494 West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest metropolitan fire service in the UK. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our specialist Fire Engineering Team within the Protection Department. The team delivers all fire engineering and Primary Authority Scheme (PAS) related work on behalf of WMFS. This includes the assessment of fire ‑ engineered design solutions as part of the Building Regulations consultation process for major and complex developments across the West Midlands, as well as supporting partner organisations through the PAS. The Role: The successful candidates will ideally hold a degree in Fire Engineering and have experience in evaluating fire ‑ engineered solutions within the built environment. A good understanding of fire engineering design guidance and a sound working knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation and regulations are essential.
