POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Environmental Management manages Environmental Compliance programs to ensure Republic Services’ facilities remain environmentally compliant with applicable regulations. They will oversee internal and external waste profiling and approvals, third party facility approvals, and Company waste handling and acceptance standards. The Senior Manager, Environmental Management coordinates the efforts of the Waste Approvals Analysts, the Sales team, as well as the Engineering and Environmental Compliance team to only accept permitted waste that will not impact landfill operations. They must also oversee the Waste Approvals Plan; coordinate the review of generator waste profiles; communicate with field sales, environmental and operations staff; and advise customers on technical issues relating to waste disposal. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement environmental compliance programs designated by the Director of Environmental Compliance.
