Basic Purpose Ensures that all activities associated with Transmission and Distribution Control Center operations, including System Control Operations, ESCC Technical Support, Trouble Dispatch, and Operations Engineering are conducted in a safe, reliable and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manages the activities of a functionally diverse staff to ensure the electric system is operated in a safe and reliable manner. - Manages the development or improvement of operational systems and tools to enhance the operational effectiveness of a system control center. Ensures operational tools are available to carry out the operation. - Ensures that operator staff is trained and appropriately certified per the requirements of NERC and WECC. - Responsible for assessment evaluations of regulatory compliance and ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company - Develops the strategic direction for distribution management, outage management and energy management systems in a given service territory. - Prov...
