The Senior Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing, and using equipment, supplies, and medications during the administration of anesthesia. The incumbent assists with special procedures and provides support for routine and complex surgical cases CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, orders, and maintains routine anesthesia equipment and supplies. 2. Maintains anesthesia medications according to facility’s needs. 3. Cleans, organizes, and maintains anesthesia workroom. 4. Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre, intra, and post anesthesia, while taking into consideration age-specific issues. 5. Performs basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipment and reports defective equipment and malfunctions to appropriate staff. 6.
