Job description

Job Summary: Performs a wide range of repair and maintenance duties related to roofing and plumbing with the main focus on roofing and gutter systems. Plans and coordinates repairs of roofing systems, including but not limited to, asphalt, shingle, slate, rubber, copper, built-up and ballasted roofs. Also performs routine plumbing/heating maintenance and repair work. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Relevant combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered. - High School Diploma or equivalent - Five (5) or more years of experience in the roofing trade - Valid U.S. driver’s license - Ability to be medically qualified for respirator use Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with slate roofs Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Demonstrated knowledge of roofing trade, equipment and tools - Working knowledge of basic industry trades including, masonry, carpentry and metal work - Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic functions - Ability to use all hand tools and operate all power tools and equipment (i.e., metal fabrication equipment, band saw, torches, power snakes, g...
