Job Details: JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, maintains airport grounds and facilities and provides aircraft traffic advisories to airport users by two-way radio. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Ability to perform airport self-inspection. In accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation 139.337, employees must conduct airport safety self-inspections. This includes documenting airside conditions for the Operations Supervisor and Assistant Airport Manager’s review. 2. Ability to maintain unpaved areas as required by Federal Aviation Regulation 139.307. This includes mowing and grading to maintain the airport safety areas in a manner to facilitate the occasional passage of aircraft and fire equipment. Ability to mow the Instrument Landing System (ILS) critical areas in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation 139.307. 3. Ability to perform tasks outlined in the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP) and in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation 139.337. 4. Ability to perform airfield electrical maintenance which includes repairing or replacing runway and taxiway fixtures and bulbs as needed to maintain compliance with the FAA standards for a runway served by an Instrument Lan...
