Job description

Nemours Children’s Health Florida is seeking Neonatologists to staff the Level II NICU at HCA Florida Capital Hospital. HCA Florida Capital Hospital is a level 2, 10 bed NICU, that currently sees over 1,000+ deliveries per year. The level II NICU is staffed with 24/7 in house Nemours Advance Practice Providers with Neonatologists who round and take call from home. Key Responsibilities: - Rounds with a Nemours Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on NICU patients, as well as supervising the APP’s attending high risk deliveries. - Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. - Adheres, contributes, and develops clinical patient pathways to ensure a standardized approach to neonatal medicine. - Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. - Act as attending consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization, depending on needs of patients, medical staff, and hospital. - Providers will be the primary educator for the pediatric residents. - Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all den...
