Special Police Officer Part Time Nights - ( 26000139 ) Description The weekly schedule for this position will be every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night from 11pm-7:30am This is an unarmed position responsible for providing protection and security for patients, employees, visitors, hospital grounds and assets as assigned. Qualifications: Required Licenses and Certifications: High School Diploma or GED (Required) Prior security experience strongly preferred Must obtain Special Police Officer Commission within 60 Days of hire date (Required) Job Functions: Essential job duties: - Patrols hospital and surrounding grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and intruders - Monitors conduct of visitors and questions unauthorized persons when necessary. - Reports to occurrences such as violence, disorderly conduct, theft, etc. Interacts with MPD as required. - Reports safety concerns, fire hazards and protective service violations. - Escorts staff and visitors to parking garage and other hospital areas upon request. - Enforces established hospital/departmental policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, environmental and infection control, safety, etc. - Proficiently oper...
