Job Duties and Responsibilities: The following statements for this position reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all the duties required that might be inherent in the position. · Perform initial and periodic physical examinations. · Evaluate patient behavior and explore patient’s interpretation of health needs. · Develop and implement long- and short-range treatment plans with the patient and/or family. · Furnish and adjust medications according to the law and health center protocols. · Develop and maintain problem list and medical record, inclusive of physical, psychosocial, environmental, economic, and cultural factors relevant to the patient. · Counsel patients and families as to preventative care, medical problems, psychosocial problems, and use of prescribed treatment drugs. · Collaborate and consult with other health care providers, including medical consultant, regarding disease detection. · Knowledge of community resources to make appropriate referrals, which will improve quality of life, e.g. Nutritional education, physical therapy, substance abuse,...
