Description The School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia (UVa) seeks candidates for an open rank tenure-eligible or tenured position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) The primary responsibilities for this position include research, teaching, and service to the department, university, and professional community. The appointment rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our department has academic programming and research strengths in core civil and environmental areas such as transportation, environmental, water resources, structural, and construction engineering. Our research portfolio is also especially strong in three interdisciplinary areas applying innovative methodologies to the traditional domains in order to solve pressing societal challenges i.e., the Built Environment, Sustainable Systems, and Smart Cities.
