Job Family: Operational Effectiveness Travel Required: Up to 10% Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Secret What You Will Do: The Realty Specialist serves as a senior technical authority on real property acquisition, leasing, and portfolio management for the Department of State (DoS). The incumbent will provide expert guidance, analytical support, and policy development for complex real estate actions, including military property transfers, prospectus-level leases, and real property development projects. Additionally, they will work directly with the Division Chief and Office Director to support both immediate and long-range space planning requirements, ensuring alignment with Department mission needs and federal real property regulations. The incumbent will prepare high-value technical documentation including prospectuses, use permits, licenses, scopes of work, housing plans, briefings, and assignment memoranda. Additionally, they will serve as a principal liaison with GSA, military entities, state and local agencies, and private-sector partners.
