Engineering Manager / Tech Lead

About the Role As Engineering Manager / Tech Lead for the Sandbox team at Together AI, you will lead and grow the team responsible for building the isolated, secure compute environments that power AI code execution across Together's platform. Together Sandbox provides the sandboxed execution layer that enables reinforcement learning workflows, LLM code interpreters, AI agents, and developer tooling to run safely and at scale. This is a hybrid leadership role — equal parts technical leadership and people management . You will own the technical direction of the team while also building a high-performing engineering culture. You'll work closely with the team's Product Manager to develop and execute the roadmap, drive day-to-day project management, and collaborate with engineering leads across Together to ensure seamless integration with the broader platform. You will inherit a team of 4 engineers (3 backend, 1 full-stack) and be responsible for hiring and onboarding 4 additional engineers to scale the team's capacity and capabilities.
