FLSA CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt COMPENSATION PLAN : Hourly: PAY RANGE : Hourly Wage Rate Compensation Information Link: Benefits Information Link: Core Values Information Link: SUPERVISOR : Summer School Principal or designee SUMMARY: Provides instructional support and assistance within the classroom setting. Provides physical and instructional support and assistance, as needed, outside the classroom for students who have moderate, severe, and multiple disabilities. Works under the direction of a licensed staff member. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. As directed by teacher, assist with students in tutoring and skill building, as well as role-modeling. Utilize teacher-produced lesson plans to assist in the teaching process towards each student’s individual education plan. This may include: teaching academic and life skills; job training on site; developing social interactions between students; reinforcing and generating communication skills and utilizing augmentative communication devices for students with mild language disabilities to non-verbal language capabilities. 2.
