Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Plymouth Harbor Smith Care Center in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the Sr. Vice President of Health Services, to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establish and direct the implementation of written policies and procedures in cooperation with the Smith Care Center and in compliance with Federal and State licensure guidelines. 2. Establish intra- and inter-departmental rapport. 3. Ensure that the professional standards of nursing practice are maintained by all nurses providing care. 4. Ensure that all personnel, residents, family members, and visitors, follow established policies and procedures. 5. Interpret Smith Care Center policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc., as indicated. 6. Review and/or revise policies and procedures at least annually and/or as indicated to ensure compliance with current regulations. 7.
