Description The Department of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor beginning August 2019. We are seeking a committed teacher-scholar with expertise in the area of Marine Vertebrate Biology. We are interested in applications from candidates with broad range of backgrounds, but particularly invite candidates with research interests in vertebrate ecophysiology, ichthyology, ecology, animal behavior, marine ornithology, marine mammal biology, or aquaculture. The successful applicant will be a key contributor to the Department’s B.S. in Marine Biology Program; this is a successful and growing undergraduate program that produces high quality graduates, many who go on to join prestigious masters or Ph.D. programs. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses in the program including Marine Vertebrate Zoology and Introduction to Marine Biology, and to develop courses in topics related to their area of expertise.
