Senior Engineer (Level 6) Plant Scherer – Juliette, GA: Job Summary: Southern Company is seeking an experienced, high‑performing Engineer to support Plant Scherer, one of the largest generation facilities in the United States. This role is intended for engineers with 10+ years of experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments who bring strong technical depth, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to lead complex initiatives. Senior Engineers at Plant Scherer play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation, while serving as technical leaders, mentors, and trusted partners to Operations, Maintenance, and leadership teams. The successful candidate will be expected to own plant systems, lead cross‑functional efforts, influence decision‑making, and proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting long‑term asset performance.
