Equipment Operator

Job description

This position is accountable for the operation of several different kinds of equipment, such as excavator, dozer, wheeled loader, backhoe, motor grader/maintainer, cheery picker, and forklift. The incumbent assists other crafts by hoisting heavy equipment, moving machinery, and performing dirt work. The position reports to the Superintendent and supports construction projects at Orion’s various jobsites. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion, which are centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork most importantly, with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity . SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - Works closely with the Equipment Manager and Yard Leadman and others at the yard to support construction operations. - Operates tracked dozers and excavators, forklifts up to 20,000 lb. capacity, hydraulic man lifts up to 80 feet, hydraulic motor graders/maintainers, wheeled loaders, and rubber-tired backhoes. - Operates tractors equipped with attachments such as but not limited front-end loaders, hydraulic thumbs, mowers/brush hogs and concrete breakers. - Operates various other types of stationary hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or oth...
