JOB TITLE: INSTRUCTOR - PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT: BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES SALARY RANGE: BASED ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FLSA: EXEMPT IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Behavioral Science Department Chair SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/9 month position/PSRS: Position Summary: The Instructor is responsible for the instruction and management of assigned classes, both seated and online. Instructor will be housed on the Springfield campus. This position remains current in their discipline and engages in department and college-wide committees and assignments. The Instructor will be assigned a full-load (15 credit hours) of courses each semester. This position is allowed to teach two classes for overload per semester. Over two classes for overload is rare and requires approval of Dean and Provost. Essential Job Duties: - Provide quality instruction which is reflective of current discipline standards and is accurate, relevant, and engaging using college – approved curriculum and resources. - Develop a course syllabus for each class taught, using the approved course abstract and syllabus template. - Incorporate pedagogical strategies such as active learning, authentic and problem-based activities, and other suc...
