The Role: The Technical Development (Tech Dev) organization at Moderna designs, develops, and advances manufacturing and analytical control strategies for mRNA medicines. Co-ops will join high-performing analytical teams supporting PhysChem and Bioassay testing to enable clinical and commercial manufacturing. You’ll apply your educational background while gaining hands-on experience in analytical method execution, data analysis, and method lifecycle management for mRNA drug substance and drug product. Through this work, you’ll deepen your understanding of how robust analytical methods ensure product quality, stability, and regulatory compliance. Within Tech Dev, the Analytical Technical Operations team supports the execution and continuous improvement of Physicochemical and Bioassay methods. The team ensures accurate, reliable, and timely analytical results to enable process support, stability studies, technology transfer, and regulatory filings.
