City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: Swing Shift Overview: Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Holding Recovery Unit. This position is for a Temporary Full time Day shift Traveler . Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital experience related to ICU, PACU, or Cardiac Cath to qualify. $70 hourly rate Education: Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required Certification/Licensure: - Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing - Basic Life Support (BLS) - ACLS Experience: Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience. Department/Position Overview: In the recovery area, the RNs are trained to remove arterial and venous sheaths from the femoral, radial and brachial sites, perform nursing assessments per procedural guidelines, escalate patients who become critical or are unable to achieve preoperative baseline. This job does require the capabilities to lift, push, pull, and standing for long periods of time.
