Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Demurrage Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Head of Shipping in Houston, TX. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely management of demurrage claims related to the transportation of crude oil and other oil products for UNIPEC America. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of shipping operations, working closely with various internal departments and external partners to optimize financial outcomes and mitigate risks. Responsibilities: - Manage assigned demurrage claims, properly auditing and conducting data analysis in support of the trading organization. - Negotiates demurrage claims from ship/barge owners and third parties. - Invoices third parties in line with charter party and commercial contract terms. - Builds and maintains professional relationships with internal and external clients. - Actively communicates with counterparties to ensure timely collection of receivables. - Reports the status of demurrage negotiations to traders and/or the Risk Department. - Collaborate with Finance/Accounting to ensure efficient and accurate processing of demur...
