They act as a logistics intermediary, matching shippers with qualified carriers, negotiating rates, handling complex permitting/regulations, and monitoring shipments to ensure safe, on-time delivery of specialized freight. Key Responsibilities: Carrier Sourcing & Vetting: Sourcing reliable carriers with specific flatbed equipment (e.g., standard flatbeds, hotshots, extendable, multi-axle trailers) to meet project requirements. Logistics & Project Planning: Planning routes for specialized loads, which may involve complying with strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for overweight or oversized, cargo.
