Cardinal Shehan School, located in Baltimore, Maryland , is seeking a qualified, full-time Social Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic school year. The Middle School Social Studies Teacher would be responsible for all lessons in Social Studies to students in grades 6th-8th. The middle school Social Studies teacher is responsible for implementing daily standard-based lessons to support student’s acquisition and application of the Social Studies curriculum aligned with the standards of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Essential Functions: - Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for grades 6–8 - Teach topics such as U.S. and world history, civics, geography, economics, and government - Incorporate primary sources, multimedia, and inquiry-based learning to deepen students’ understanding - Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly - Promote a classroom culture of respect, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity - Integrate technology and cross-curricular connections into lessons when appropriate - Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and clas...
